a. Cherry was designed to work with any supplier that can provide you with a downloadable online price list. Most companies have online access for customers these days. Many do not like to promote this resource to you, but most have an online site. Not sure? Email us and give us the vital information of the supplier in question and we will check it out for you! PS… if you have a small supplier you love, ask if the can send you your prices in an Excel spreadsheet and lets set up an online appointment to take a peek.

a. Each week our clients simply log into their online accounts for each supplier that they use, download their order guide with the current weeks pricing and then upload each list into Cherry… It takes about 5 minutes to do 3-4 suppliers each week. Most suppliers update prices within their data systems, sometime between Friday and Sunday each week, so ask your sales rep when you price changes take place.

a. This is a simple one… No. You are the only one who sees anything in your private Cherry account.

a. Typically, setup takes 4-6 hours, for a business with 2-3 suppliers and 150 inventory line items. The time you spend doing set up is very enlightening to most operators as taking a good hard look at you supply chain is something most owners never do. Setup is faster for those who start out more organized, with items such as an inventory list and already having online accounts opened with your suppliers. If you do not have these items, then you need us more than ever… Cherry is a place to continuously keep your buying organized.

a. Standard Full Access comes with Video Guided set up. It is as easy as watching the video clip and following the instructions. If you are comfortable downloading and uploading computer files, then you already have the technical skills needed. Should you uneasy with computers or are just simply too busy for a learning curve, sign up for Cherry concierge. We will assign a Cherry certified trainer to personally guide your set up. We can’t do It all for you, as set up requires intimate knowledge of your products, but with our guidance, you are assured a smooth easy setup experience and your assigned rep will be your lifetime assistant should you ever need additional help and training.

a. It never hurts to have a supplier set up in the Cherry software because you have the flexibility to include or exclude any supplier from any order. A good rule of thumb is to have 2-3 supply sources for every $2500 worth of food being purchased. It would not make sense to try and shop a $700 food order using this product. Cherry is a tool for busy operations, not cheap people.

a. Cherry has a built in good enough inventory system. We call it good enough, because we don’t claim to be the best in this area. We have found that most clients already have robust inventory systems built into their POS systems and all of our clients have POS systems. Our inventory system works in conjunction with ordering your stock so you can kill two birds with one stone… Actually 3 birds, because not only are we ordering stock, performing inventory but, we are also price comparing your stock order.
